Lucas studied civil engineering in Brazil. Since jobs were scarce, he immigrated to New York City in 2001 where he worked as a bartender at the Odeon, a maitre d’ at Pulino’s, and a manager at Morandi. When he and his family moved out to Seattle, he did a brief stint at Place Pigalle before becoming the GM at Tilth, where I worked for two years before becoming manager at Rione XIII.

Best Meal Ever
On my first visit to Washington State, to meet my wife’s family.
