Chef Joe Ritchie kicks off a series of intimate feasts at Goldfinch Tavern beginning this September. The first experience is a four-course feast featuring local meats and cheeses from Monteillet Fromagerie, complete with a special wine pairing presented by Goldfinch Tavern's sommelier, Thomas Rotherham on Wednesday, September 30 at 6:30PM.
The next Sunday Feast at Tavolàta features all the savory foraged mushrooms of the forest, with a variety of wild mushrooms featured, as well as Umbrian black truffle. (There are even some wild huckleberries thrown in at the end, just for good measure.) Join chef Addam Buzzalini for this hearty meal to begin to usher in fall on September 13.
We are very excited to announce the opening of a new gastropub on Ballard Avenue this October. Say hello to Bramling Cross. The name (and logomark) come from a hop varietal and we really want to showcase (ultra) locally-brewed beers alongside great, affordable pub fare.
The upcoming Sunday Feast at Tavolàta celebrates the bounty of the fields with a veg-heavy meal full of the best and brightest local produce.
Ethan is joining Ericka Burke and Jason Wilson to launch its new Premier Chef Program. The upcoming Sunday Feast is all about the delights of the salty sea. Chef Addam has come up with perhaps the fishiest menu to date, including everything from octopus to anchovy, halibut cheek to pickled herring. Join him at the communal table on July 12th for this bountiful, briny, beautiful meal!
This year’s Eat Run Hope was another great success. Lots of great food and a big turnout for the 5K! You can check out the race results here. The 2015 event event raised nearly $100,000 which will help fund the Nathanael & Gabriel Stowell Memorial Research Grant and support thousands of families facing syndromatic issues during pregnancy. Well done everybody!
We are very happy to announce that Sunday, June 28, 2015 is the date for the fourth annual Eat Run Hope, held again at Magnuson Park in Seattle.
The summertime event will take place at the lakeside park from 3:30pm on. As always, there will be a 5K run/walk, a chef tasting event, and activities for kids. Participants can customize their day, with option to just run or just eat, or, of course, do both.
The June Feast at Tavolàta, set for June 7, is all about lamb. Chef Addam has come up with a springtime menu replete with eight lamb dishes, accompanied by seasonal vegetables and savory sides. The meal ends on a sweet note with apricot gelato and shortbread.
Chef Addam and the Tavolàta crew are looking forward to hosting a wine dinner with two fantastic Italian wineries on Wednesday, May 13. Vie di Romans, from Friuli, and Pecchenino, from Dogliani, will both be represented at the dinner, sharing their outstanding wines.
